What’s interesting about this design?
The proportion of the golden ratio is hidden in a pentagram (five-pointed star). In this design you see the golden section spiral drawn on the basis of the tip of a pentagram, which is made up of 36 ° and 72 ° angles. The tip of the pentagram repeats on the scale 1: φ (1.618 …) and rotates 108 °. This pattern repeats itself, seemingly to infinity. This angle of 108 ° is also the angle of a pentagon.
This means that the number 5, on which the pentagon is based, has the golden ratio integrated in its geometry. No wonder that the number 5 symbolizes life and microcosm and that five-fold geometry is common in nature.
