The design on this tshirt was inspired by the Koch snowflake. The basis of this fractal is an equilateral triangle. After the first step, the shape changes to a six-pointed star, or two equilateral triangles on top of each other. The fractal then retains a six-fold symmetry.
The steps in this fractal can be infinitely repeated. This means that when you take out a small part, it is similar to the larger whole. In addition, the length of the contour line of the Koch snowflake is infinite.
The interplay of lines between the different layers of the Kock snowflake creates the impression of a three-dimensional shape which starts to resemble a real snowflake.
Snowflakes always conform to six-fold symmetry in nature.
